This year, we have three great performances by The Vowels, Joe D'Urso & Stone Carvan and Christine Martucci!
The Vowels
Music People Making Music While Doing Some Good
The idea is simple, The Vowels are primarily comprised of music/entertainment (and related) industry executives that
came together in 2005 to have some fun and do some good. The Vowels are dedicated to bringing good people together for an upbeat, interactive, social
gathering, focusing on the music... while doing some good. To date, The Vowels, and their friends, have raised thousands of dollars that have paid
for life changing operations for children all over the world. The Vowels are very grateful for having the best supporters in the world...and they
really want you to be a part of this!
Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan have just released their 11th CD and first live recording "One More Song Live" on SCR/Schoolhouse Records. This double
CD was recorded in June 2008 at the legendary Turning Point in Piermont, NY and serves as a showcase of the band's energetic live performances.
JD&SC have performed on thousands of stages in 24 countries and have attracted fans worldwide since releasing their first recording in 1991.
D'Urso remains true to an ideal inspired by the late Harry Chapin: that it is essential to help the less fortunate. He currently sits on the Board
of Directors for The Light of Day Foundation/Parkinson's Disease and Joe is a founding member of Pinkfest whose sole purpose is to battle Breast
Cancer. Also, he is heavily involved with World Hunger Year and a founding member of Artists Against Hunger and Poverty. "Joe brings to his life
and music the magic combination of passion and purpose," said Jen Chapin, daughter of Harry and Chair of WHY Board of Directors. Sue Leventhal,
director of WHY's AAHAP, calls D'Urso "a wonderful, first-class performer."
